The Eric Dean Award for Creative Writing

I was deeply honored to learn that the senior English class at Keota High School in Keota, Oklahoma has created the “Eric Dean Award for Creative Writing” as an annual award to be given to a senior who shows promise in that regard. The class read my short horror story “The Black Meat” and then contacted me over skype for a Q&A session about it. Apparently, it made an impact.

This is the greatest thing that’s yet come of my little hobby, and I can’t express to the seniors at Keota High how humbled and flattered I am at this honor, and I look forward to speaking with the next class!
