“Goddess lie down” by Eric Dean, 2004ish

Goddess lie down.

Must get so lonely on your mountain.

Come and lie down in the dirt here next to me.

Goddess, with your silk robes

And your satin

And your gold.

Let it fall around your ankles here

For me.

Goddess, with your sweet words,

Turned to silent cries and breaths.

What once gave life

Marking many little deaths.
